OBSESSION BAND was created by Dant'e King and Mike Gross 1985 at Calvert High. The group Reunited in 2006. This was implemented with the blessings of the founders with some old faces as well as new blood that enabled the band to keep its foundation along with staying current with the feel of today's Music.
Influenced by a vast assortment of musical styles, Obsession Band has tagged themselves as “Grown and Crankin.” Obsession Band has shared the stage with Icons in the Washington, DC music scene such as Chuck Brown, Experience Unlimited, Rare Essence and a host of reputable bands in the metro and surrounding areas.
Obsession Band has a unique sound that allows us to fit in any music venue. Whether it is R & B, Jazz, Cover Tunes, Pop, Rock, Gospel, Hip Hop or Go – Go our roots are based around providing good music and delivering a product that everyone can appreciate. The demand for Obsession Band is increasing at a rapid pace. We are revisiting familiar territory with the goal of pleasing the masses. The core of our group is that we believe in our music which has created a passion in the group that permeates through our fan base and the crowds at our shows. Obsession Band currently has over 2000 fans in our social media circle and collectively throughout all the band members upwards of 8,000 followers of the Good music we deliver. Obsession Band understands the passion of our Fan base therefore we have open forums for them to be closely connected to us as a token of our appreciation. Obsession Band while not currently signed by any record label is hopefully looking to connect with the right situation to further advance our career in world wide music. Locally we are featured often on Radio Stations and by local Disc Jockeys in the DC Metro area covering the east coast with bites of our live performances. Obsession Band is serious about keeping its legacy around for the generations. We are forever grateful to those who have invested in our future.
